A Sri Lankan culinary journey is simply not complete without a taste of the ultimate Sri Lankan street food! The dish is prepared with chopped up godamba roti tossed with a few vegetables and usually chicken. However, it is available in different versions like vegetable kotttu, egg kottu and cheese kottu (which is pretty much the favourite with locals and foreigners!)

Hot red polos

This is a jackfruit curry that is simply amazing! Prepared with a range of spices, this is a spicy curry that is often served with a hot plate of rice. It is quite popular with locals as well. This is a must try a dish that is available in buffets in hotels in Kalutara Sri Lanka.

A Lankan special, Lamprais!

It is a dish where the rice is cooked to perfection with types of meat like lamb, pork or beef. The delicacy is served in a banana leaf (in which it has been steamed) with a meat curry of your choice, vegetables like ash plantains and brinjals and a hot chilli sambal. Have a mouth of this and experience the flavourful bliss!
